1. What it does
Zeus connects to Claude (by Anthropic) and ChatGPT (by OpenAI) as a connector, also called an app. Once connected, the assistant can work with the Zeus company you chose:
- Tasks: list and read to-dos, shift checklists and maintenance work; create tasks, change them, move them along, comment, tick checklist items, and record what a task cost.
- Sales pipeline: list leads and the pipeline's figures; add leads, move them between stages, log calls, visits and notes, and schedule or complete follow-ups.
- Business figures (read only): sales, profit and margins, how each outlet is doing, who owes the business, what needs attention, expenses, whom the business owes, stock, and the stock movement ledger, including checks on why a product's stock balance has drifted.
- Banking (read only, optional): account balances, transactions (account numbers masked to the last four digits), what was paid out of each account, the loan book, lending risk flags, and bank statement reconciliation.
It cannot move money. Figures and banking are read only. The assistant acts as you, so it can only see and do what your own role allows in that company. Money is shown in naira.
2. Things to ask
- How did each outlet do this month compared with last month?
- What needs my attention today?
- Who owes us money, and for how long?
- Which products' stock doesn't add up at the main outlet this week, and why?
- What's on my shift checklist right now?
- Add a task for me to check the generator on Friday, with a checklist: oil, filter, belts.
- I just called Bright Foods. Log the call, move them to Demo and remind me to follow up on Tuesday.
- What left our bank accounts this month that no expense explains?
3. Connect in Claude
You need a Zeus account in a company, and a Claude plan that allows connectors.
- In Claude (claude.ai, or the desktop or mobile app), open Settings › Connectors.
- If Zeus is listed in the connectors directory, find Zeus and choose Connect. Otherwise choose Add custom connector, name it Zeus, and give it this URL:
https://api-prod.ecclerium.com/mcp
- Claude opens a Zeus page. Sign in with your Zeus account (Claude never sees your password).
- Choose the company, review the permissions, and choose Allow.
- Back in Claude, make sure Zeus is switched on for the conversation, then ask away.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may have to add the connector for the organization first. In Claude Code, add it with claude mcp add --transport http zeus https://api-prod.ecclerium.com/mcp and sign in when asked.
4. Connect in ChatGPT
- If Zeus is listed among ChatGPT's apps, open Settings › Apps, find Zeus and connect it.
- Otherwise, in Settings › Apps, open Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode (on a Business or Enterprise workspace an admin may have to allow this). Then create an app: name it Zeus, give it the URL above, and choose OAuth for authentication.
- ChatGPT opens a Zeus page. Sign in, choose the company, review the permissions, and choose Allow.
- In a conversation, pick Zeus from the tools menu, or mention it, and ask.
ChatGPT's menus change from time to time; if these names differ, look for apps or connectors in its settings.
5. Permissions
When you connect, Zeus shows what the assistant will be able to do and asks you to allow it. These are the permissions, in the words the consent page uses:
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
tasks:read | See your tasks and their status. |
tasks:write | Create, update and complete tasks for you. |
pipeline:read | See the sales pipeline: leads, their follow-ups and the pipeline's figures. |
pipeline:write | Add leads, move them between stages, log calls and visits, and schedule follow-ups for you. |
insights:read | See your business figures: sales, profit, expenses, who owes you and whom you owe, stock and its movements, and how each outlet is doing. |
banking:read | See your bank balances, transactions, loans and statement reconciliation. It can't move money. Optional: untick it on the consent page to connect without banking. |
offline_access | Stay connected without asking you to sign in again, until you disconnect it. |
Permissions are a ceiling, not a key. The assistant still acts as you: if your role in Zeus can't see all tasks, approve expenses or view banking, neither can the assistant. If your role changes, the connection follows on its next request.
6. Choosing a company
Each connection works in one company. If your account works in several, Zeus asks you to choose one when you connect, and the consent page names it. To use another company, connect again and choose that one; in Claude or ChatGPT you can add Zeus a second time under a different name, such as "Zeus (Warri)".
Within the company, the assistant sees only the outlets your role may see.
7. Modules each tool needs
A tool works only if the company's Zeus plan includes the module behind it. Sales, profit, outlets, debtors and the attention briefing need no particular module.
| Tools | Module |
|---|---|
| Tasks, shift checklists, maintenance routines and summary | Task Tracker |
| A task's expenses (list, add) | Task Tracker and Expenses |
| Leads, follow-ups, pipeline figures | Sales Pipeline |
| Sales, profit, outlet performance, debtors, what needs attention | None |
| Expense summary, payables | Expenses |
| Stock overview, stock drift, stock movements | Inventory |
| Balances, transactions, account outflows, loan book, risk flags | Banking or Loans |
| Statement reconciliation | Reconciliation |
A company owner can add modules in Zeus under Plan & billing.
8. Disconnecting
- In Zeus, open Settings › Connected apps. Each connection shows its app, its company and what it may do. Choose Disconnect.
- Company administrators see a Company tab there, listing every app any member has connected to the company, and can disconnect any of them.
- A disconnected connection stops working immediately: the assistant's next request is refused, and it has to be connected again.
- Removing Zeus in Claude or ChatGPT stops the assistant using it. Disconnect in Zeus as well to end the connection on Zeus's side.
9. Troubleshooting
These are the messages you may see, in the assistant's reply or on Zeus's sign-in pages, and what to do. "Claude" reads "ChatGPT" if that is the app you use.
10. Privacy and security
- You sign in on Zeus's own page with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE; the assistant never sees your password.
- Zeus data reaches the AI provider you chose (Anthropic or OpenAI) only when you ask the assistant something that needs it, and is then handled under that provider's terms. Ecclerium does not use it to train AI models.
- The assistant's access token lasts one hour; the refresh token lasts 30 days and is replaced on every use. Each tool call uses a separate five-minute internal token the assistant never sees. Tokens are stored only in hashed form.
- Each tool call is logged with the tool's name, how it ended and how long it took, for reliability. What you asked and what the tool returned are not logged.
The full details are in the Zeus Privacy Policy: Connected AI assistants. Using a connected assistant is also covered by the Zeus Terms of Service.
